Nick's daycare had picture day last week! I can't decide which one I love the most! I may need to order all 3!
I love that he is biting his lip in 1081, his slight grin is so cute in 1082 and his smile is sweet in 1083. I took a picture of the proof so it is a bit blurry but the background is a vibrant blue that really shows off his eyes.
Decisions, Decisions!

A Minor Bathroom Update
Look at our pretty new toilet!
Yup I am blogging about our new toilet. Our old one was almond in colour (yuck), and it did not work well at all! You had to hold the lever down every time you flushed. This one has an elongated seat and one of those fancy lids that won't slam.
It's the small things!

Ps: Dan will not let me post any hardwood floor pictures until there are baseboards... but I am dying to share!

Step 3: Living Room Renovation- PAINT!
Before picture of paint: Toothpaste Green
After picture of paint: Silver Quill (Dulux)
Notice the trim change around the window. My mother-in-law painted it white. What a difference!
So far so good!

1st Pinterest Attempt
I wanted Nick to make home made Valentine's cards for his daycare friends and teachers since they are having a party. Let's just say what I pinned was a little interesting for a young toddler who doesn't know the meaning of the word "gentle."
Step 1: Take a toilet paper roll and bend it to form a heart at the end.
Step 2: Dip in paint (I used non-toxic finger paint) and let your child dab it on a page. Well I would recommend reinforcing the toilet paper roll a lot so it doesn't bend in the the strong little hands of a child.
This is what Nick created:
He wanted to use the roll as a paint brush. We managed to get 3 decent hearts so I have now revised this project to being homemade cards for his 3 teachers. LOL

Step 2: Living Room Renovation.. Wood!
We finally decided on some wood after a month of shopping. We were on the verge of buying hickory but at $7.00-$9.00 a sq ft we just couldn't justify it. This is not our forever house so we thought we better be reasonable. We decided on acacia wood in cherry. We bought it at Rona for $4.99 a sq ft with an additional 10% off. Not too shabby!
I can not wait to install it. I can not wait for Dan to install it.

Tower!
Dan built this lego tower for Nick after he went to bed this evening. How long do you think it will take him to destroy it in the morning?

Ps: Yes he did in fact sort by colour.
