Keepsake Rocks
Last summer we brought home two rocks from The Pinery in Grand Bend as memory rocks. Then we brought home one from Long Point Beach and two from Marble Lake where we rented a cottage this summer. I see many more rocks coming home with us in the future. I thought I better find a jar to keep them safe.
I found this cute jar at Dollarama for $1.50. It comes with the label and a piece of chalk. I also write on each rock to remember the date and beach we visited.
Love it!

7th Anniversary- Kingston Style
We celebrated our 7th anniversary in Kingston and decided to try out The Rustic Spud. If you're in this area I would definitely recommend it!
We both ordered garden salads and then shared these ponados. Yum!
For our main courses Dan ordered veal. He enjoyed it but we both agreed that my main course is a must try! I ordered sweet potato gnocchi. Omg! So good!
Our actual anniversary falls tomorrow on July 4th but between highway drives and soccer we knew we couldn't squeeze a dinner out too.
Happy 7 years love bug!

Nathan the Pancake Thief
Sunday mornings we enjoy bigger breakfasts. Today I made some banana pancakes. The kids ate first and then Dan and I sat down to eat some.
Nathan decided to join us.
Step 1: Nathan is watching me smile for the camera.
Step 2: Nathan eyes my pancake.
Step 3: Reach in for it while still keeping an eye on Mommy.
Step 4: Reach for it with full attention.
Step 5: Got it!

Feeling Nostalgic
I'm feeling nostalgic today. Over a pair of toddler shoes. There is nothing fancy about these shoes. They are Joe Fresh shoes and weren't expensive.
But they fit both boys perfectly. As most of you know, Nathan is a lot smaller than Nick was. But for some reason they fit both boys really well.
They are like the shoe version of the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants.
The velcro no longer sticks and the treads are worn. Rest in peace my favourite toddler shoes. Thanks for the memories!

New Medicine Cabinet
Here is a new addition to our main floor bathroom/laundry room:
I love it! Dan's dresser has been housing all our medicine. I'm glad to have it all organized and out of reach to a certain busy toddler. I'll post another update when our vanity is complete. We ordered a new counter top and it's not in yet. Stay tuned!
