April

Let's have a look back at April...
  • I went up to Toronto for A's baby shower. So much cuteness and so much pink!
  • We had a play date and dinner with Cooper's family. Good times!
  • We went to Lia's to celebrate her 2nd birthday. The kids played hard and enjoyed a cupcake!
  • We stayed home for Easter this year and had a quiet weekend. We had breakfast with the O'Learys and caught up on stuff around the house. We also enjoyed some beautiful weather!
  • I went to my friend Michelle's Pampered Chef party. A new cutting board is coming my way soon!
  • I participated in the cake raffle at school. Fun competition!
  • We went to the monthly play date at Harry's house.

This was a quieter month and that's ok because my energy only allows for so much!

Kindie Gifts

It's crazy to wrap my head around the fact that I only have 2.5 weeks of work left. 13 days to be exact but who's counting?

I wanted to get my students a little something so I ordered these books for my SK students. It's about students moving on to Grade 1 so it was a perfect book. I wrote inside each one and I am not going to lie, I got a little choked up. I have had most of my SKs for 2 years now.

For my JK students, I got a little crafty and made these:

The tag says " You are a smartie ______! Good luck in SK! Love Mrs. Circelli 2014"

A few more things checked off the to-do list. It's never ending I swear!

Earth Day

Yesterday was Earth Day. We made coffee filter earths. All you need are filters, markers and a spray bottle with water. My hands still have blue stains on them today. :)

Still not a fan of the Easter bunny!

Ever have one of those days that doesn't quite go according to plan?

Nick is a chicken around dressed up things (eg. Santa, Easter Bunny, Unkle Hans etc). Dan and I prepped him that the Easter bunny was visiting his daycare today and he seemed excited. I took him to school and while he played outside for a little while, I packed up my file cabinet in my classroom. Suddenly I heard MAJOR crying. You can always tell when your own child is crying. Well Nick managed to get his finger pinched in the door. The heavy, exterior door. The poor kid will likely lose the nail. As this trauma was happening, the Easter bunny came to say hi. Yeah he wasn't impressed.

And here is last year's photo for another chuckle.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We had a very quiet and lovely weekend. I'm not used to staying home on holidays but given that I'm in the bathroom every hour to pee these days I was glad to be home. 4 more weeks of work and 6 more weeks (in theory) until we meet our newest addition!

TP roll bunnies

Easter is on it's way! These cute little bunnies were so easy and simple to make.

Step 1: Paint TP rolls a nice bright pink
Step 2: Let them dry over night
Step 3: Cut the tubes in half
Step 4: I had the triangles pre-cut for the ears and then the kids shaded them in a bit with a pink crayon
Step 5: Assemble together with hot glue
Step 6: Use cotton balls for the tails
Step 7: Have the kids draw faces using a permanent fine tip marker

Hoppy little bunnies!

I fell victim to cute packaging

I went to Walmart today to get some stuff for work and I couldn't resist bringing home this festive kleenex box. The kleenex comes out in two spots like ears. EEK! How cute is that?! It was only $1.77...
