The joys of January

In addition to play dates (to keep us sane in this cold weather)...
  • We had dinner at the G's and brunch at the B's! Nice to spend time with friends. All in one weekend no less!
  • Nicholas had a 24 hour virus. Luckily the rest of us avoided it!
  • Both boys started swimming lessons. Nicholas goes on Saturday mornings and Nathan goes on Monday afternoons.
  • We traveled to Kingston for a wake and funeral. RIP Vince.
  • I had a Starbucks date with M and a lunch date with my co-worker E!
  • Nathan and I went to meet S's new baby boy.
  • We had some sledding fun!
  • I took Nicholas to the library again.
  • Dan installed a new faucet in the kid's washroom.
  • Nicholas went to the dentist for the first time.
  • Nathan and I went to D's 1st birthday lunch!
  • Nathan started cutting his 2 bottom teeth! Our good sleeper is gone again!

Ps: January is my least favourite month but we made the most of it!

A mini update

Our kid's bathroom is sporting a new faucet. This update came with the colourful language that occurs whenever Dan does plumbing :)

Dollarama for the win!

I saw an idea on Pinterest for organizing scarves or ties. You use shower rings on a hanger. I set out to buy them but then found these:

You win this time Dollarama!

More Chapters Finds

Love these! I'm thinking of buying the Rome print and framing it as it reminds me of our honeymoon.

December is over and so is 2014

In addition to our regular play dates...

  • We took the boys to see Santa and to get their picture taken. There were no tears!
  • We went to Wonders of Winter at Waterloo Park.
  • We went to the O'Leary Christmas Open House. It's a great annual tradition!
  • I grabbed dinner with the soccer team after one of our games.
  • We went to the Christmas social at Nick's day care.
  • Nathan had his 6 month needles.
  • I went to my staff party. Tacky sweater all the way!
  • Nick's soccer wrapped up. We are starting swimming in January!
  • We got together with the Gander's for some nog, wine and treats.
  • I went to the Christmas concert at my school. Elf themed!
  • I had dinner with 2 teaching friends. We have been doing this Christmas dinner for 9 years now!
  • We traveled to Kingston for Dan's Great Uncle's wake. RIP Giovanni.
  • We spent Christmas Eve in our own house for the first time ever. We'll likely do this every other year from now on. Dan's parents and sister and her boyfriend stayed with us too.
  • On Christmas day we went to Courtice for supper and a sleepover. Wonderful Christmas memories!
  • I went to the Dentist. Love evening appointments. So convenient.
  • We hosted the E's for New Years. Good friends and good food!
