Around the House

There's nothing major going on at our house after our living room renovation. We are still shopping around for light fixtures and dining room furniture.

It's amazing how much I enjoy little tweaks around the house. They are inexpensive and sometimes even have a function :)

Nick's "stuff" was taking over our fridge so we hung a bulletin board by our back door in the kitchen. Now everything is in one place. We can even hang some of his art masterpieces.

We have these candle holders on our mantle and I tend to change them up once a season. Pine cones in the Fall, clear cubes in the Winter, brown rocks in the Spring and blue and green pebbles in the Summer. However I decided that I wanted to try something different.

Yup. Wine corks. Better keep drinking...

Lastly, we had two small plants on our family room window ledge that had severely outgrown their pots. Dan took care of this transplanting project and he even picked out the new pots himself. I am impressed! The one on the left is a Kalanchoe and it was a gift from a student in June of 2011 and the one on the right is an African violet that Dan bought a while back. They look so much better!

What little (or not so little) things are you doing at your house?

xo,
Meg
